Radiance Academy is a bilingual school for humanities studies, dedicated to radiating the intellect of liberal arts education to China. It offers seminar courses on film and media studies, philosophy, psychoanalysis, and more each semester, cultivating an online space for discourse on issues related to modern Chinese culture and society.
I initially created a number of visual directions based on the letter R and their element of radiance. After a collaborative process, we decided to proceed with the modular approach to create the current logo, with a 3 additional variants which are used for the different branches under the main brand.First iteration inspired by the radiating sun.Another design based on a stylized letter r. The chosen design allows room for additional design variants.
In consideration of a cohesive brand image, I made a custom logo font based on Futura.
